Quick questions about Mockingbird. Go!
Is it just another AI ad generator?
Nope! It watches competitors, learns your taste, builds the test, and reads your Meta results.
Where do the competitor ads come from?
Meta's public ad library. Only public ads!
Will the ads actually sound like us?
Yes! Your voice goes into every prompt, and blocked words get rejected.
Can I edit what it makes?
Yes! In editable mode the text stays live, and you export when you're happy.
Does it replace Ads Manager?
Nope! You download each ad and launch it yourself. Budgets and final launches stay in your ad account.
And does it get smarter?
That's the whole idea! Every result feeds the next recommendation.
Who's it for?
Founders, performance marketers and agencies!
Mockingbird! Your next ad test, sorted.
- 01
Paste a competitor's Facebook Page
Mockingbird hits Meta's public Ad Library and pulls every active ad. No login required on the competitor's end — these are public-by-design.
Nexlytics example: pasted facebook.com/MonteCarloData → 14 active ads scraped, deduplicated to 6 distinct creatives in under 30 seconds.
- 02
Vision model reads each ad's layout
We extract a spatial blueprint — type hierarchy, copy, mood, dominant elements — without copying their brand assets. You're keeping the form, not the look.
Nexlytics example: Monte Carlo's "How Monte Carlo supports data engineers" classified as headline-over-photo, anxiety-frame, technical audience.
- 03
Generate 4 on-brand variants per ad
Your brand profile (palette, voice, product line, prohibited words) drives a brand-swap. The competitor's hook stays; their colors, fonts, and product names go.
Nexlytics example: same template, swapped brand. "How Nexlytics validates Power BI dashboards" + cream/teal palette + $9 PBIX CTA.
- 04
Download, then upload to Meta yourself
Pick the variants you like and download them. Each one exports as a finished image sized for feed and stories, with primary text and a headline. You upload it in Meta Ads Manager and set budget and audience there. Mockingbird does not publish to your ad account.
Nexlytics example: 219 picks out of 301 generated variants, run in Meta as paused ads across 5 ad sets.
Worked example
See every step with real artefacts.
Nexlytics ran 301 brand-swapped variants through this engine before we extracted it as Mockingbird. The case study walks through 3 real source→variant pairs from that run.
See the Nexlytics case study →The promise we don't make.
Mockingbird doesn't promise winning ads. It promises a 10× shorter loop between "I saw a great ad" and "I'm testing my version of it." If the loop is short enough, more tests means more chances to land the one that works.
